These left and right handed radiator valves are well made from heavy brass with a good thickness of chrome. It is not possible to reconfigure them as, say, two left handed valves (my requirement).The supplied end caps on the bottom (assuming a tubular towel rail going up from the taps) allow one to use them as either simple angled taps or to later add-in an electric heater element. The taps are system side so allow the heater element to be serviced while only draining down the rad.Apart from the 15mm copper compression ring, all the seals are rubber washers or O-rings so ptfe tape is not required, but the face on the radiator end will need to have a clean smooth metal seating to ensure a good seal.I’ve attached a picture to show the pair of taps supplied to me with the set valve broken down into its bits, and the user valve still assembled because the Az picture was not clear enough about the presence of a bottom cap. I’ve also added a before and after picture of them installed with the heater, and showing the new one on the right having the set adjuster (still accessible with an Allen key) facing the wall because of its 15mm pipe coming from the left.
