Recycling and Disposal
The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Directive was implemented in 2007.
As a producer of Electrical and Electronic Equipment (EEE) Sol*Aire Heating Products had a number of obligations in which it had to comply.
Sol*Aire Heating Products’ approach to be compliant with these obligations is set out below. Our WEEE registration Number is: WEEE/MM7609AA
1. Product Design
Our commitment to recyclability extends throughout our product lines, we prioritise the use of materials that are environmentally friendly and recyclable.
We promote the use of recycled content wherever feasible without compromising product quality or safety.
Our product design emphasises ease of recycling at the end of its useable life.
2. WEEE Marking
All products are subject to the WEEE Directive by Sol*Aire Heating Products from 13th August 2005 are compliant with the WEEE marking requirements. Such products are marked with the “crossed out wheelie bin” or WEEE symbol shown below in accordance with European Standard EN 50419.
3. Information for Users
The “crossed out wheelie bin” symbol on the product its packaging indicates that the product must not be disposed of with normal household waste.
Instead, it is your responsibility to dispose of your waste equipment by arranging to return it to a designated collection point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment.
By separating and recycling your waste equipment at the time of disposal you will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that the equipment is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment.

4. Registration and Reporting
Sol*Aire Heating Products fulfil all legal requirements for registration and reporting by being members of the WERCS Compliance scheme and reporting all EEE placed on market.
5. Treatment
In accordance with the requirements of the WEEE Directive, WERCS Limited confirms that treatment and recycling of WEEE done on behalf of Sol*Aire Heating Products meets all Government targets for recycling and recovery of our products.
