Looking for a stylish and unobtrusive way to heat your home? The Adax Neo electric panel heater provides this and more. Only 200mm in height, it’s the ideal heater space with limited height, such as conservatories or below window sills.
With a white finish, flat front panel, discreet LCD display and slimline design, the Neo has established a reputation as one of the best looking panel heaters on the market. When wall mounted, the radiator’s total depth is only 90mm, saving space and blending with the environment.
The Adax Neo low profile electric heater comes in 800w & 1200w power outputs and a single unit can heat small – medium room sizes. Additional heaters can be added for larger spaces according to requirements.
Included are energy-saving features which make the heater fully ERP Lot 20 compliant. These features include a timer, digital thermostat, open window detection and adaptive start. Consequently the Neo is more economic and efficient to run (up t 20% less than a basic electric heater). Furthermore, the safety features include an anti-tamper lock and overheat protection.

The Neo’s sleek design creates a clean aesthetic from all angles. The controls are user friendly, allowing you to easily change the temperature with a push of a button.
To keep your room comfortable, the Neo uses a digital thermostat. This will precisely monitor the room and actively respond to changes in temperature, switching the heater on and off when its needed. This saves electricity and reduces running costs.
Adax’s X-fin heating element uses natural convection to heat the room. The heater has no moving parts and is silent when heating. The aluminium element in the base of the unit warms air, which flows into the bottom and out of the top vent, circulating evenly by convection throughout the room. There is no fan, so dust and particles are not blown around the room. By maintaining the air quality it is well suited for people with allergies.
Rather than leaving the heater on constantly, the Neo can be programmed around your schedule with the built-in timer. The timer allows for 24 hour 7 day programming, reducing energy consumption and running costs.
The Adax Neo has a smart learning programme called “Adaptive start”. This will calculate the optimum time to start heating. For example, if programmed for heating at 6:00am, the heater may start at 5:30am to get the room to the optimum temperature by 6:00am. Doing this takes the guesswork out of programming the timer, so the room is warm exactly when it’s needed. It also has open window detection, which will recognise when you’re trying to cool the room down, for example, by opening a window. It will detect the drop in temperature and temporarily switch the heater off.
By incorporating these energy saving features into the design, the Adax Neo is fully compliant with ECO design ERP Lot 20 regulations.
Adax is a long-established manufacturer of heaters, founded in 1948. Their products are still made in Europe and adhere to the highest quality standards. The heater is supplied with a UK plug fitted and a wall mounting kit (including the wall bracket). Also provided in the box is a mounting template and instructions. The heater is easy to install if you have basic DIY skills.

We bought the 800W white low profile heater to fit on the dwarf wall of a new conservatory. I like the subtle design does not spoil the look of the room. The power cable on this model was long enough to allow plugging into a socket to the left of the unit. I was deliberating for a long time before ordering, about whether to spend the extra for the external timer+thermostat, however the modes on the built in thermostat are sufficient that I don’t think I will ever need to – since the “night time cutback” and “day time cutback” options on the built in controls effectively allow setting three different temperature periods per day, without being overly complicated. A bonus is that there is a ‘child lock’ button combination to decrease the likelihood of a young child interfering with the thermostat configuration. Easy to wall-mount – two brackets and four screws included so you just need your own choice of wall plugs. There is a bit of horizontal give in the brackets, and the top hole on each is keyhole shaped, so there is margin for error if you don’t drill the holes mm perfect! There was a bit of a smell given off during the first hour of usage but this has gone now, and the heater is odourless and noiseless – we have not noticed any clicking sounds from it like you can get with many cheap convector heaters. Also, the main face does not seem to get burning hot to touch, which is good with kids around. If you stick your fingers down toward the heating element from above and behind then yes it could hurt, but it would need to be a fairly deliberate action, and fortunately for us our toddler seemed to understand my attempt at explaining “no touch, hot”. Obviously you can get other cheaper electric panel heaters of the same power output for less, but the quality and thought gone into the design here is clear and I think it is worth the price!

I bought the 800W in white to supplement the heating in my living room and to be a heat source nearer to where Merlin (my Great Dane dog) sleeps. Well, I have just fitted it, on my own, and found it so easy to do – I am quite amazed! Not all my cleverness! The wall brackets give you a little wriggle room with the slotted section on the top, and even more cleverly, the cardboard box is marked out so you can use it as a template. In conclusion, this radiator is sleek, modern with easy to use controls, easy to install, a good price and I’m sure ‘Merlin’ will appreciate it’s warmth when the temperatures plummet.
